When trying to break away from sugar (which happens often!) I make little wholesome treats that will satisfy the craving. These little chocolate hugs where perfect!

NO REFINED SUGAR OR FLOUR! I love that - that's usually always my goal! :)

Ingredients:
1/2 C Walnuts or Pecans
2 Tbs Whole Flaxseeds (you can use ground too!)
2 Tbls unsweetened Coconut
1 C Oats (gluten free if need be)
1/ 2 C Medjool pitted dates
1/2 C raisins
4 Tbs Cocoa powder
1 tsp Honey
1 tsp Cinnamon
pinch salt
Mini Chocolate Chips or cocoa nibs (optional)
1) Place dates and raisins in bowl and cover with water. Let sit atleast 10 minutes
2) Combine nuts, flaxseed, coconut, and oats in food processor. Process until combined.
3) Add the drained dates and raisins, cocoa powder, honey, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until all ingredients are blended.
4) Move to bowl and stir in chocolate chips if desired. Use a cookie scoop or Tablespoon to measure out balls and roll with hands. Dust LIGHTLY with cocoa powder if desired.
